Concrete Cutting & Saw Cutting questions, answered
Can you cut joints into existing concrete?
Yes, although joints work best when cut early. Late cuts can still help direct future cracking on newer slabs.
Is it messy?
Wet cutting creates slurry rather than dust. We contain and clean it up before we leave.
What is core drilling used for?
Core drilling makes clean round holes through concrete slabs and walls. They are used for plumbing, electrical conduits, air-conditioning lines and drainage.
How deep can you saw-cut concrete?
Typical residential slabs are cut right through for removal or openings. Control joints are cut to about a quarter of the slab depth to guide cracking.
Do you cut concrete for plumbers and electricians?
Yes. We cut trenches through slabs for new drains or conduits, remove the concrete, and can reinstate the slab once the trades have finished.
