Pool Surrounds
Cool underfoot. Grippy when wet.
A pool surround needs to be safe for wet feet, comfortable under a January sun and resistant to chlorine and salt water. We pour surrounds that fall away from the pool, tie neatly into coping and fencing, and are sealed for easy cleaning.
Often chosen with patios & alfresco areas, exposed aggregate driveways, concrete sealing & maintenance.

Pool Surrounds questions, answered
Will the concrete get too hot?
Lighter colours and salt or exposed finishes stay noticeably cooler than dark, smooth concrete. We’ll show you the options that suit your exposure.
Can you work around pool fencing?
Yes. We can leave pockets for fence posts or core-drill after pouring so your fencer can install compliant glass or aluminium fencing.
How soon after the pool is finished can you pour the surround?
Once the pool shell is complete and backfill has settled and been compacted. Ask your pool builder for the sign-off date and we will schedule around it.
What slip resistance does a pool surround need?
Wet barefoot areas should meet the AS 4586 wet-barefoot rating. Salt, honed and broom finishes can be made to suit with the right finishing method and an anti-slip sealer.
Can you form a bullnose edge over the pool coping?
Yes. We can pour a rounded or square edge that overhangs the pool wall, or finish neatly to existing tile or stone coping.
