Decorative Concrete
Concrete that looks like it was designed, not just poured.
Decorative concrete covers every finish that goes beyond plain grey: exposed and honed aggregates, colour-through oxides, stencils, stamped patterns and salt finishes. We’ll help you choose what suits your home, budget and how the area will be used.
Often chosen with polished concrete, timber-look concrete, salt finish concrete.

Decorative Concrete questions, answered
Which decorative finish lasts best?
Exposed aggregate and honed finishes are the most durable long-term. Stencilled and stamped finishes look great but benefit from regular resealing.
Can decorative concrete go on an existing slab?
Sometimes. Resurfacing systems can give an existing sound slab a new decorative look without a full replacement.
What counts as decorative concrete?
Any finish chosen for its look as well as its strength: exposed aggregate, coloured, stencilled, stamped, honed, polished and resurfaced finishes all fall under decorative concrete.
Which decorative finish costs least to maintain?
Exposed aggregate and honed finishes with a penetrating sealer need the least care. Patterned and coloured surfaces look their best with a reseal every two to three years.
Can different decorative finishes be combined?
Yes. A common combination is an exposed aggregate driveway with a charcoal border, or a honed alfresco with a salt-finish pool edge. We plan the joints so the changes in finish look deliberate.
