House Slabs
Your whole home sits on this. We treat it that way.
We pour residential raft and waffle-pod slabs for owner-builders and builders across the Gold Coast, from sandy coastal blocks to reactive clay in the hinterland. Every slab is built to the engineer’s design, inspected before pour, and documented for certification.
Often chosen with concrete foundations & footings, excavation & site preparation, concrete slabs.
Typical job: 1–2 weeks · Site measure: free

Guide: Waffle pod vs raft slab
House Slabs questions, answered
Do you work with owner-builders?
Yes. We guide owner-builders through what’s needed before pour day — engineering, plumbing rough-in and inspections — so nothing holds up the slab.
Can you pour on a sloping block?
Yes. Sloping sites typically need cut-and-fill, deeper edge beams or retaining. We’ll work to your engineer’s design and price the site works clearly.
Which slab type does my block need?
Your engineer decides. The choice depends on the soil class in the site classification report (A, S, M, H or E) and the house design. Waffle pod slabs suit most flat Gold Coast estates. Reactive or sloping sites often need a stiffened raft.
What inspections happen before a house slab pour?
Your certifier or engineer inspects the steel, pods, beams, plumbing penetrations and termite protection before concrete is ordered. We book the inspection and won’t pour until it passes.
Can the slab be finished ready for polishing?
Yes. If you want polished floors later, tell us before the pour. We order a suitable mix and float the slab flatter, and we protect it during the build so the finish is easier to achieve.
