Concrete Slabs

Flat, level, and right where you need it.

Not every slab is a house slab. We pour slabs for water tanks, hot water systems, bin and clothesline areas, playgrounds, gyms, garden sheds and more — set out accurately, reinforced to suit the load and finished to match how you’ll use it.

Often chosen with shed slabs, garage slabs, excavation & site preparation.

Concrete Slabs questions, answered

Is there a minimum slab size?

We’ll pour a slab as small as a hot water pad, but small jobs are most cost-effective when combined. Ask us about bundling paths or pads into one pour day.

Do I need council approval for a slab?

Most small residential slabs don’t, but some structures that sit on them might. We’ll flag anything that needs approval during your site measure.

What is a slab used for if it is not a house or shed?

Bin pads, air-conditioner and hot-water bases, clothesline areas, trampoline pads, water-tank bases and caravan parking. Each needs a firm base and the right thickness for what sits on it.

How thick should a small utility slab be?

Most bin, tank and equipment pads are 100 mm with mesh. Full water tanks are heavy, so their base is sized to the tank manufacturer’s requirements.

Can a slab be poured against my house?

Yes, with care. We keep the slab below the weep holes and damp course and fall it away from the wall. We also leave enough clearance for termite inspections.
