Stamped / Patterned Concrete
Stone, slate or timber — pressed into solid concrete.
Stamped concrete uses textured mats to press realistic patterns into fresh concrete — cobblestone, slate, sandstone, even timber boards. Combined with colour and release agents, it creates a natural, hand-laid look across big areas with no joints to weed.
Often chosen with stencil concrete, decorative concrete, patios & alfresco areas.

Guide: Stencil vs stamped concrete
Stamped / Patterned Concrete questions, answered
Is stamped concrete slippery?
The texture provides grip, and we add an anti-slip additive to the sealer for pool areas, ramps and steps.
How long does stamped concrete last?
The slab lasts decades. The surface colour and sealer benefit from a reseal every 2–3 years to stay vibrant.
How is the pattern pressed into stamped concrete?
After colour is applied, we place textured rubber mats on the fresh concrete and press them in while it is still workable. They leave a 3D stone, cobble or timber texture.
Is stamped concrete suitable for driveways?
Yes, provided the slab is the right thickness with proper steel. Deep textures can hold leaves and dirt, so smoother patterns such as slate suit driveways best.
Can stamped concrete be repaired if it chips?
Small chips can be patched and tinted to blend in. Because the colour is in the surface, large repairs are harder to hide than on plain concrete, so we recommend resealing regularly to protect it.
